Fascia komt uit het latijn en betekent band, bundel. Het is een 3D netwerk dat rond alles zit in ons lichaam. Hoofdbestandeel is collageen.

Fascia is door het ganse lichaam geconnecteerd.  Zo houdt fascia ons lichaam recht, organen op hun plaats en spierbundels samen. Al is dit hier wel heel eenvoudig uitgelegd.
